Dear friends,

Due to an increasing number of bookings, we have made the decision to move the Russian Old New Year Ball 2010 to bigger premises. Therefore please note that the Ball this time will take place in the Sir Walter Scott Suite of the Balmoral Hotel, 1 Princes street in Edinburgh. The spectacular Sir Water Scott suite has a larger stage for our entertainment programme and it is conveniently connected to the Holyrood Suite which accommodates a bar, a spacious sitting area and a dancing area. Both suites look festive and grand and both have fabulous views of Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town. We are sure that the Russian Ball in The Balmoral Hotel will be an unforgettable experience.

SEATS

The tickets for the Russian Ball on 16th January 2010 can be booked from now on. The deadline for bookings is 11th December 2009. Please feel free to book now as good seats will be gone! There will be 10 people at every table. The distribution of seats will take place on “first come – first served” basis. You can see a table plan for the George Hotel in the second attachment. We will do our best to ensure that everyone is happy with where they are sitting but obviously the earlier you book the better chance you will have of getting a good seat. Unfortunately, we will not be able to consider your sitting preferences for late bookings.

TICKETS

The cost of a ticket is £29 per person. The price covers a 3-course meal, entertainment and disco. If you wish to pay by cheque please make cheques payable to Ruvisa Ltd. We also accept payments by credit or debit card. There is a 2% surcharge on credit card payments. To purchase a ticket please contact Anastasia on 0131 6620930. The deadline for booking is 11th of December.

TABLES

The way the tables will be positioned in the Sir Walter Suite is different to that in the George Hotel. Please find the new table plan enclosed. Those of you who have already booked tickets will be contacted individually as soon as possible. We will offer you tables which will be equivalent to the tables in the George Hotel.

DRESS CODE

The dress code for this event will be costumes and masks. Please note that mask is a minimum requirement for entry. CHILDREN Please note that this event is not suitable for children under 12.

MENU

The prices for drinks at the cash bar will be the same as in the George Hotel. The set menu offered by the Balmoral hotel will be as follows:

~~ Winter Vegetable Soup with Thyme and Smoked Paprika
~~ Breast of Scottish Chicken, French Style Creamed Potatoes, Green Beans and Red Onions with Café au lait Sauce
~~ Bread and Butter Pudding with Sultanas and Apricots infused with Vanilla Pods
~~ Coffee and Shortbread

Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. A vegetarian menu option is available upon request.

RAFFLE

We are planning a raffle after the dinner. However, the raffle is subject to availability and will have to be confirmed additionally. All proceeds will go to Russian Edinburgh school (www.russianedinburgh.org.uk). . You are invited to donate prizes which will give you the chance to let the public know about you and your company.

ENTERTAINMENT AND DISCO

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us should you have any entertainment ideas. You will be able to order music pieces of your choice for a £2 charge per song. ACCOMMODATION
